Hey, we've been posting video recently! Some from Nashville recording (VLOGS) and some clips from a live show in Main this past weekend (during the "cell phone song" - Don't Be Afraid). You can catch up on them all on our YouTube channel or on our Facebook page...
Day 4: We laid down some drum tracks for a couple more songs, that may or may not make it onto this release (a new version of Waterfall -- originally recorded on Reason -- and a cool, totally different version of Lord, I Lift Your Name on High that you may have heard if you've been to an acoustic show recently). With all the drums done (Great Job, RON!!!), Gigs (Joe Gorgolione) finished up all the bass guitars -- all before lunch!
After lunch, it got LOUD!! Guitars, guitars, guitars, guitars and guitars -- Eli threw down tons of awesome guitars - thick & juicy, nice & tasty, totally rockin' guitar parts. Did I mention that we couldn't hear anything but GUITAR all day?!?!? Of course, Eli was like "Well, you know the best sound from these amps is only possible when the amp is turned up to at least ELEVEN!!!"
Day 5: The only thing left to do was finish the rest of the guitars. So, Eli turned up the amps EVEN LOUDER and cranked on them until our special guest came. Billy Smiley brought in a BIG HITTER for us to help out with guitar tones, ideas and even throw down some licks -- George Cocchini (seriously check him out on Google and Wikipedia)!! I have to say that it was awesome and he was so humble! We are totally honored to have him be a part of these recordings!
Day 6: We made some mixes to take home and hit the road - driving straight through from Nashville, TN, to home, sweet home -- aka Dirty Jersey!!! ;-)
SIDE NOTES: Eli is posting Vlogs (video blogs) of our time in Nashville so be sure to check them out on our YouTube channel or on the band's Facebook page!!!!! There should be an interview with Billy Smiley (our producer) up soon!
Our buddy Thomas Gorgolione recorded the live performance and interview last night on Lift FM!!! So, here is a nice MP3 of the song from last night of All I Ever Wanted.
Tonight we are filming an acoustic version of Praise Adonai (which is by far our most popular recording to date!! check out our version on YouTube!).
So we're extending an exclusive invitation to our fans in NJ, PA & NY -- to come be a part of this filming.
We'll be using this video for 2 things:
(1) Promoting the first ever Sky Blue Women's Soccer Family Faith Day featuring JUSTPASSINGTHRU on July 19, 2009, and hopefully meet & greet with some of the team's players (who happen to be some of the BEST women's soccer players in the WORLD -- we're working on this...). Radio ads are already being run on Star 99.1 FM for this!
(2) To be a blessing -- from the bottom of our hearts we want this video to encourage people to do what they were meant to do!
Yes -- it's totally LAST MINUTE -- but it going to be a BLAST!!!
OH - and a shout out definitely goes to Lance and his crew at Byram Bay Christian Church for hosting this filming!!! There are some really exciting things going down with the youth crew there these days...
I'm hoping to do a "play-by-play" on Twitter tonight -- SOMEBODY remind me!!!! ;-)
We'll start at 8:30pm tonight at Byram Bay Christian Church (info below)...

Okay everyone -- here is the latest video offering from Justpassingthru for the song FALLEN (from the Call Me Red release).
An original music video of Justpassingthru's song, Fallen (from the Call Me Red release).
"You've got to be lost to be found, sick to be healed, poor to be rich...everyone is in need of someone to come to their rescue is some way or another. somebody, somebody, somebody -- save me." (Mooki from the band Justpassingthru, March 4, 2008)
This song, Praise Adonai (a modern rock version similar to the sound of Daughtry),is by far the most downloaded song from Justpassingthru's latest release (Call Me Red). So, here a little video with the studio recording by Justpassingthru, live concert footage, some nature and images of Adonai (Jesus).
Video: Waterfall (storyboard preview) by Justpassingthru
So -- a good friend of ours, Thomas Gorgolione, is currently finishing up a animation video for Justpassingthru's song, Waterfall (from the band's first album -- Reason), and this is a storyboard sketch from the process.
This song has such a great message. No matter who you are -- chances are that you have at one time or another wrestled with insecurity, lack of self-worth, some of that stemming at times from not being understood or appreciated for "who you really are" -- who you were created to be...
So, what's up with the reference to a waterfall. Well, glad you asked! So much of life is affected by our own perspective. 3 blind ants could be standing next to an elephant and could accurately describe the elephant completely different because they are ony capable of sensing what's right in front of them. So, back to the waterfall... I love waterfalls -- that's part of the reason. But the other part is that for this example, someone could see a waterfall and think it was sad because of all the water pouring down which might seem like it was crying and thus sad. But it's not sad, it's beautiful and just the way it was supposed to be made.
Moral of the story: You are so beautiful as a creation of God and though you may not always be understood and appreciated for who you really are, that does not change you identity or lessen your value. So, RAWK ON, BABY!!!!
